Singapore issued its own dollar in June 1967, after the currency union with Malaysia and Brunei broke up, replacing the Malaya and British Borneo dollar. The Monetary Authority of Singapore issues it today, and it has stayed swappable at par with Brunei's dollar ever since.

Malaysia introduced the ringgit on 12 June 1967, replacing the Malaya and British Borneo dollar at par. Officially it was still called the dollar until 1975, when ringgit and sen became the only official names. Bank Negara Malaysia, the central bank, issues it.
